Join the MCMS provider registry, complete verification, and become eligible for referral opportunities that match your approved provider category and coverage area.
How the provider referral process works
Register as a Provider
Create your MCMS account and select your professional or provider category.
Complete Your Provider Profile
Provide the information MCMS requires to review your profile, including service areas, availability, experience, and other required information.
Submit Required Credentials & Documents
Upload the credentials and documents applicable to your provider category. Requirements can vary by category.
Complete Required Agreements
Complete the applicable MCMS agreements and acknowledgments.
MCMS Reviews Your Registration
MCMS verifies the submitted information and determines whether the provider can be approved for the requested provider category.
Become Eligible for Referral Opportunities
Once approved and active, providers may receive or view opportunities that match their approved category, geographic coverage, credentials, availability, and other applicable requirements.
Review the Opportunity
The provider reviews the available referral information and chooses whether to accept or decline. Registration does not guarantee referrals.
Complete the Applicable Payment Requirement
Depending on the provider's selected MCMS plan, this may involve Pay As You Go referral pricing, an eligible membership or subscription arrangement, or available referral credit where applicable.
Receive the Introduction
After all required referral steps are completed, MCMS releases or facilitates the introduction.
Connect Directly
After an introduction, the client and provider or organization communicate directly about availability, services, scheduling, rates, terms, and whether they wish to work together.

Independent professionals may be listed in these categories:
- CNA — Certified Nursing Assistant
- HHA — Home Health Aide
- LPN — Licensed Practical Nurse
- RN — Registered Nurse
- PT — Physical Therapist
- RT — Respiratory Therapist
- NMC — NMC / Companion — Non-Medical Care / Companion

- Registration and approval do not guarantee referrals, employment, assignments, income, or a particular outcome.
- After an introduction, the client and provider or organization communicate directly about availability, services, scheduling, rates, terms, and whether they wish to work together.
- Maryland CNA Match Services is a referral and introduction service. It is not an employer, staffing agency, home health agency, healthcare provider, supervisor, or party to the direct service arrangement.
